Seminar on the ideal food for Phenylketonuria

The Faculty of Agriculture held a seminar on ” The ideal food for Phenylketonuria “, in which the assistant teacher Muhannad Abboud Mahawi of the Department of Food Science gave a lecture in which he highlighted the genetic disease caused by an imbalance in the metabolism of the amino acid which when accumulated in the body leads to Acute mental disability unless treated early after birth. And how to choose the right food for different age groups infected with this disease. And to know the most important foods to avoid during the preparation of the diet for every age, especially in infants.

     This seminar is part of the administrative activities carried out by the Faculty of Agriculture in order to develop the expertise and skills of the employees and to enhance their abilities in the workplace.
